One Last Thing

If you work for any company for 40 plus years, you’re bound to have wacky stories

Music Choice #1

Her: WYD now?

Him:

Her: I really want to know, what are you doing now? I miss u.

Him:

A typical text conversation from boy and girl who just broke up. One doesn’t understand and still loves him/her to death. The other doesn’t answer. Every song I have listened has the girl still loving him to death and the boy not caring .

Midweek Crisis #85: ROMA = AMOR

Music Choice #2

Her: I love u, but i’m so depressed that ur not here right now

Him: I’m srry but i gotta work Don’t forget to turn on the outside light

Her: I’ll see u when I get home

Him: I love u but i miss u

The conversation above is based on the song I chose.

It’s called u turn me on (but you give me depression) and it’s by LØLØ.

By the way I have no idea how to pronounce that, so you are on your own with that one.

It's a sad pop rock song that is NOT depressing.

Life Advice you’ll actually want

This is another article by The B-Side. I enjoy their articles and most likely every week there will be an article from them here.

Highlights

  • Simon & Garfunkel, the author of “the Soul of an Octopus and a Nobel Prize-winning journalist all spoke a graduation ceremonies

  • Nobel Prize-winning journalist said “Be vulnerable. In every relationship… someone lowers their shield first… let that person be you

  • “Tune out the hater” said Latoyia Edwards, an award-winning new anchor."

  • ““The ear goes to the irritant” said music icon Paul Simon”

  • ““Get in the position to receive blessings” was the central message of Sy Montgomery’s address to the Lesley University’s grad class”

  • If you’ve been especially sneezy this week your area’s pollen count is most likely high

  • A Dropkick Murphys concert took place in a K-12 Catholic school gymnasium, giving students and faculty of the school a midday surprise of a two-song set of “Rose Tattoo” and “Shipping up to Boston

Music Choice #3

Girl #1: Why are you so insecure about your looks? You look so good

What Girl #2 wanted to say: Because I’m dying on the inside

What she actually said: I’m fine. Everyone says that.

The song is hella sad and dark. The video is even darker. I love all of Nessa Barrett’s stuff. Pop rock mixed with sadness is a great combo.
